My friend Todd and I met Rhett on the Green River for three days of fishing and camping in March 2013. This is my second time fishing with Rhett and again an incredible experience. We drifted and waded and caught a lot of trout, including a 24” 10Lb lunker for my friend who had only fly fished several times prior. Rhett is a professional in all aspects of the word and a great camp companion as well. He made us better casters, reads the water like a good book and made this week one of the best fishing experiences I have ever had. Highly recommend Rhett and Reel Deal Anglers to anyone who is in the Jackson Wyoming Area and wants to fly fish

Hi Mary,

Here is a link to Reel Deal Angler’s in Jackson Hole that has river access
through a private ranch on the Snake. My husband, Jack, initially arranged
our trip with Rhett who happened to be tied up with Wounded Warrior guests
that day so didn’t actually guide our party. He assigned two really
excellent and fun guides, Jason Budd and Chris Stump. They were good
teachers and worked their butts off to get us into good pools and runs. Our
party had a broad mix of fly fishing experience – and the day worked for
well for everyone. Scenery and peaceful setting was to die for. Elk burger
cookout on the beach was delightful. I would recommend them in a heartbeat
for your family outing.

Rhett,

I floated with Allen Riley last Saturday for half a day, and the trip was thoroughly enjoyable. We caught fish on dries, small nymph droppers, and streamers. Allen was polite and attentive throughout the float, changing flies and suggesting technique modifications to keep us into fish. Had we been on our game, we would have landed 50 fish each. Thanks to Allen and Reel Deal for the quality of the trip. Hope to see you again sometime soon. Perhaps a float for trophy browns?

It was great meeting you after our fish on the snake a couple of weeks ago, Chris did a great job! We had a fabulous time and will be making it back to the Jackson area again soon – well be sure to give you a call! The Wyoming weather is always such a pleasant change from the Houston Texas weather! Well be sure to pack some BBQ for you the next trip!

Subject: Fishing with Rhett and Tim
Last week my wife, two sons, and I fished with Rhett and Tim and had one
of the best days I’ve ever spent on the water. Rhett and Tim were both great
guides that knew the water and the fish and they put all of us on some nice
cutthroat trout. We caught fish from the very start until right up to the
end of our trip which in itself made for as great a fishing trip as we could
have asked for.There is nothing like watching your kids have a great time
catching beautiful fish but when you add the gorgeous scenery of the Snake
River with the Tetons in the background it’s pretty awesome! The highlight
to an already great morning had to be when a mature Bald Eagle swooped down
between our boats and grabbed an big trout from the water not 30 yards from
us and and my son and I photographing it! A close second was about 30
minutes later when my wife spotted a bull moose bedded down on the shore and
we were able to photograph it as well. Rhett and Tim were both very
personable and truly enjoyable to be on the water with and I can’t thank
them enough for what truly was as awesome a day on the river fishing as we
could have hoped for. I would highly recommend a trip with both Rhett and
Tim.

Hi Rhett. I just wanted to say “thanks” for being so accommodating and for having Tim be our guide. He was good fun to talk to, very informative, & most importantly to me – very kind to my son. At a gathering with friends earlier today, I heard him tell another parent that the best part of his trip was “the fishing.” Again, thanks so much & I look forward to fishing with you guys in the future. I am hoping to schedule a “big family trip” sometime out in Wyoming & I know that my brothers & father would really enjoy the experience too. Take care.

We had a fantastic day on beautiful Spring Creek. Not only caught my first trout but also the biggest. What a thrill it was to play that monster. But even better than catching the fish was Rhett’s expert guidance. He is a great teacher and the lessons I learned significantly improved my fishing skill and confidence.

A friend and I just floated two days on the Snake River with Rhett. He was professional, fun, and most of all put us on a ton of fish! Winter fly fishing can be hit or miss but Rhett consistently put us on great healthy cutthroat trout all day. We each caught between 15 and 20 fish a day up to 18″. I highly recommend Rhett and his guides and can’t wait to get out here this Fall for some more action.

MARCH 26-28 2012

I spent three days floating the Snake River with Rhett (26-28 March 2012). This was an incredible time. Rhett knows this river like the back of his hand and knows the fish even better. He picked me up at my hotel each morning, on time, and fired up to go fishing. He was knows his craft and thoroughly enjoys what he does. We caught a lot of trout and had good time doing it. I would recommend a day or five on the river with this guy to first time fly fisherman and experts alike. If you are in Jackson Wyoming this is a must do experience.

Just wanted to say that I had a terrific time and was delighted with your guide Tim Koski.  I selected your outfit because you were in the top five Google results, but most importantly, you called me and were totally up front about water conditions.  The key thing is that you provided access to private fishing grounds that were running clear.  I caught cutthroat when everyone else said “too muddy; wanna raft?”

Thanks again to you and your guys Tim and Chris.  I was not up to par on setting the hook, but that’s ok.  I did catch a giant trout in Fish Creek with Tim.  It was a thrill for me.  I’ve got a good picture for all to see.  One of my goals was to have my 75 year old mother and 12 year old son each catch their first trout on a fly in the Snake river.  That was accomplished.

Your tip about fishing the Lower Flat creek also produced 5 – 7 fish for me and my older son.

If we come back out there we will certainly give you all a call.  Until then, thanks and happy fishing.

By the way, what times of year do you think are best for flyfishing in your waters (I know it is somewhat dependent upon water flow)…but I may plan a trip with a buddy for next year or thereafter.

Hi Rhett,

I just wanted to thank you for giving us the opportunity to float the Snake last week with Jim Dietz. He proved to be a courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable guide throughout the entire day. We caught and released several nice cutts and experienced the exhilaration of Jackson Hole scenery at its very best. I would have no hesitation in returning to fish with him again in the near future.

Rhett, I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for such a great fishing trip. My Dad and I both enjoyed the experience. I think we missed more than we caught, but we had a blast trying. Our guide, Kevin, was wonderful and very patient. He put us in the right spot to catch the fish and encouraged us along the way. Thanks again for a great experience…one I will never forget. This was my first trout catch!

Jay, Many thanks for a great day. You worked hard to get me to hook one of the big ones in the last hole and that was very much appreciated – I am sorry I could not set that hook quick enough.
