Cliff Creek Fire
Well folks, I’m sorry to say, it was bound to happen, now we have a huge wildfire, called the Cliff Creek Fire, unfortunately. Recently it’s been very warm and dry and with summer storms passing through the area producing little moisture and a lot of lighting this past Sunday, the Cliff Creek Fire fire started just north of Bondurant Wyoming. The fire has grown to nearly 11,000 acres and is currently being fought by nearly 500 personnel. The fire crossed over Highway 191 Sunday shortly after it started causing the road to be closed off to traffic. The highway is still currently closed from Hoback Junction to Daniel Junction at this time. This has caused some last minute changes on fishing locations, so thank you to all of our loyal clients for working with us during this challenging time. At this point in time it seems as though the road will be closed for quite some time, so we will be doing everything in our power to ensure you have a great day of fishing.
We will keep everyone updated and informed as the latest information becomes known. Thank you to all of the courageous firefighters, pilots and support personnel battling this fire and all of the fires currently throughout the western USA. PRAY FOR RAIN!!!!
Our prayers were answered last night as we received some much needed rain! Also, the road that connects Pinedale and Jackson has re-opened, which is making life that much better! We’re praying for more rain, which hopefully comes soon!
