Fly Fishing Pinedale Wyoming

It sure is hard to believe that the spring fishing season kicks off in 60 days! At this point in time we’re anticipating another stellar season based on the snowpack we currently have. So far, the snowpack up in the Wind River Mountains is looking solid for the Fly Fishing in Pinedale Wyoming. Typically, February is the snowiest month so, let’s hope that plays out, so we have lots of water for the entire season once again! The wild temperature swings we’ve been experiencing all winter have afforded some great afternoons on the water for some very good nymphing when its warmer than 35 degrees.. The fish are mostly stacked up below the riffles and in the seams and are very subtle when taking the flies.

Rhett Bain, the owner of Reel Deal Anglers has recently become the manager of Black Diamond Outfitting’s fishing program which will enhance the fly fishing opportunities in Pinedale Wyoming. We will be guiding on all of the area lakes when the rivers are high and muddy in May and June, so, come aboard our new lake boat for some amazing action! We will be fishing using various techniques including but not limited to; jigging, trolling and top water when there’s an opportunity.

Recently, we’ve renewed our agreement to a private ramp on the Green River. This access gives us a huge advantage to share with all of our valued clients. The ramp is strategically located in the middle of a 21 mile stretch between public ramps. Arguably, this 21 mile stretch of river is the least pressured water around these parts and affords you the best fly fishing in Pinedale Wyoming for trophy trout. The golden stone and grey drake hatches are legendary on this water and last year was AMAZING!
