I highly recommend Reel Deal Anglers for anyone looking for excellent Mountain West trout fishing. I recently returned from my second consecutive summer fishing trip with Reel Deal Anglers. I gave them a five star rating last year and this year my trip. was even better. I fished three days on different sections of the upper Green River outside of Pinedale, Wyoming. My guide, Tyler, was outstanding ― knowledgeable, hardworking, professional and personable.

The upper Green River is so incredibly quiet and peaceful unlike many better known rivers in the Mountain West where it feels like bumper cars with drift boats, rafts and party barges. During my three days I saw more moose and eagles on the river than people. I caught plenty of browns, a few rainbows and missed a few cutthroats. Several fish over 20 inches. Reel Deal Anglers owner Rhett Bain is a first rate outfitter who genuinely cares about his clients. He does a fantastic job of communicating with clients and making sure their needs are being met. He even procured some incredible tomahawk steaks from a local cattle rancher for my birthday dinner. I plan to fish with Real Deal Anglers again next summer. Why? Because I don’t think I could do better, but am certain I could do worse.
