Jason was originally born and raised in Vermont where he gained a love for the outdoors from a very young age. He moved to Jackson Hole in 1999 and has been taking advantage of what the area has to offer ever since. Jason spends his winters either shredding the Tetons on his snowboard or catching the finest of waves in Hawaii. But when the fishing season gets rolling you can bet Jason is on the river. Jason has been properly trained in guiding rivers and is an extremely patient and knowledgeable guide, capable of teaching the most veteran of fishermen something new. His passion and excitement of the sport will leave you feeling exhilarated.

Tim, originally born and raised Tucson, Arizona has been spending his summers in Jackson for the past 12 years. A recent graduate of the University of Arizona, Tim now lives in Jackson year-round; when he’s not fishing he can be found on the trails of western Wyoming. Tim grew up fishing the Northern lakes and streams of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan and now tours the Western United States for trophy trout. Tim will use his extensive local knowledge and fishing expertise to ensure that you have an unforgettable experience.

James, born and raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia, has been fishing the rivers in Wyoming for the last 7 years. He grew up fishing rivers, lakes, and streams around the Virginia area, but moved to Wyoming after college. He is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, and is now in pharmacy school at Virginia Commonwealth University. The skills that he had developed on the water, and lust for catching fish will undoubtedly rub off on anyone that he guides. James’ attitude and his love of being outdoors will always provide a stupendous day for you.

Eric Campbell is an Idaho native who grew up fishing with his 7 older brothers and father in remote areas all over Idaho. It did not take Eric long to figure out that this was going to be more than a hobby. After 2 years of guiding whitewater on the Salmon, Eric moved to eastern Idaho to chase large trout on flies. He has spent the last 15 years perfecting his guiding techniques and has become extremely knowledgeable of the rivers in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. A day on the river with Eric is about the entire experience-food-fishing-and wildlife. His patience and knowledge pave the way for a great day on the river. Eric lives year round in Jackson Wy with his wife and two daughters, where they spend time exploring the splendor of the rivers and mountains.
Jay Allen
Jay Allen
Jay has fly fished for over 25 years and guided for 15 years. Guiding both in the eastern and western parts of the United States extensively. Jay’s diverse knowledge and experience contribute to his unique perspective on fly fishing. Jay managed a fly fishing program at a guest ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming – a role which contributes to his providing an exceptional experience. Having worked with anglers of all ages and skill levels, Jay offers clients great opportunities to bring fish to hand, all while teaching techniques sure to improve success on any water. Jay’s passion for entomology is particularly evident in his understanding of the intricacies of dry fly fishing. Of course, as with all Reel Deal guides, each guided trip with Jay is centered on the guest, thereby adding to the enjoyment of an awaited day on the river and creating lasting memories.

Allen grew up fishing the lakes and streams in central and eastern Tennessee. After graduating in May 2010 with a bachelor’s in Economics from Sewanee: The University of the South where he was a four year starter at center on the football team, Allen moved to Wyoming in pursuit of landing a job in the fishing industry. An avid sportsfan, Allen’s strengths are his patience and ability to teach all skill levels. Allen’s passion for the sport and the surrounding area will undoubtedly rub off on anyone who steps in his boat.
Chris Stump
Chris Stump
Chris Stump, aka ‘Stumpy,’ grew up outside of Denver and learned to fish on rivers a few hours from the Metro area. Stumpy continued his passion for fly fishing while attending the University of Montana in Missoula (Go Griz!) and upon completing the six-year program he decided he could make the best use of his business degree on the lakes and rivers in the Greater Yellowstone area. Since 2000, Stumpy has been guiding the rivers of northwestern Wyoming and eastern Idaho as well as spending a few seasons doing the same in Chilean Patagonia. As a guide, Stumpy’s best attributes are his patience and ability to communicate and teach a wide range personalities and skill levels.
Jay McLaurin
Jay McLaurin
Jay grew up in the mountains of Roanoke, VA and spent his summers on the coast of South Carolina chasing Bass, and Saltwater species of all types. After graduating from college in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains in 1996, he moved to Jackson Hole to continue to amass his outdoor experiences. Jay can be found exploring the powder stashes in the surrounding mountains on skis during the winter and after many summers of exploring the class IV-V whitewater in the region, Jay’s love for rivers has evolved to a love for fly-fishing. An accomplished photographer, Jay doesn’t head to a river without his lens.
