Green river Brown

This week’s topic I’ll be covering is trying to convey the myths/differences between a 30 minute fishing show and the reality of how the natural order works. First, let me quote a friend who is filming fishing shows all of the time. I posed the question to him the other day on how to describe the reality and here’s what he had to say: “Lets put it this way I have got a whole show in 3 hours but the other side of that is I just got back from a 3 day shoot and we barely got the show.” This is exactly my point; some days are AMAZING action and others, well, let just say I hope you like the scenery and company. No matter what, they’re all great days and there’s always something new to learn. Just yesterday, we floated the South Fork of the Snake in Idaho with a couple of friends and we landed 1 -12″ brown, ALL DAY. The day before a friend couldn’t keep them off of his fly. CRAZY, but this is how fishing goes, especially in May when the days are definitely hit and miss. This is why we suggest booking at least several days so that your odds of catching increase. We’re really looking forward to the runoff getting underway so we share some incredible waters with all of our valued clients, family and friends.
