Sample Fishing Itinerary from the Salt Lake City Airport

Here is a sample fishing itinerary arriving and departing out of the Salt Lake City Airport for our Upper Green River guided fishing trips. Please know that we are happy to tailor our trips to individually suit your needs, schedule and best possible scenarios within our control. Please keep in mind that this is a suggested itinerary and is subject to change based on the most current and up to date fishing reports. We offer either a 6 night 5 day trip or a 4 night 3 day trip, which can be tailored as well. We suggest giving yourselves a few days to fish which greatly increases your chances of having that “dream day”! We proudly and responsibly guide on over 170 miles of the Green River and we also guide on 80 miles of the New Fork River as well. Our wading options are endless: both on public and private land. this is paradise for trout fishing in a high mountain desert area

1. We recommend you stay in Evanston WY at the Hampton Inn and then get up the following morning and drive to the Fontenelle Dam and meet us for your first day of fishing an amazing tailwater.

3. Either stay at our river camp that evening and fish above Fontenelle the next day or arrive at the Lakeside Lodge. Here are the directions from Fontenelle to the Lakeside Lodge
4. We will spend the next few days float fishing on the Green River,  New Fork River and/or wade in the forest or on one of our private ranches.

6. If you want to fly in privately there are several airports to choose from: Big Piney or Pinedale. We will be more than happy to pick you up at either one.

As of now the Snowpack in the Wind River Range, which is the headwaters of the Green the snowpack is 88% of a 30 year average and the Fontenelle Reservoir is sitting around 52% of capacity.
