Upper Green River Predictions
6.5.15
Here is our latest Upper Green River Predictions for the runoff as of today. the runoff has now ‘officially” kicked off and we’ll see exactly how it plays out over the coming weeks. There is so much data available now on the internet at our disposal it is really fun to try and figure out the future of water flows. So here’s my amateur attempt to predict the current runoff scenario. We have trips out all over this weekend so we’ll see how the reports come back.
Looking at the chart below, which is probably skewed due to the late season snows, the water forecast is certainly much, much better than 30 days ago.
As of now the flows look great for the better part of the summer, based on this chart. The latest forecast for the summer is wet and warm, so hopefully that plays out favorably.
As you can see the chart below shows the past couple of days the snow melting due to the warmer temps.
There is still a lot of snow, thankfully, at the higher elevations above 9500 feet, which should help keep the water temps down in July and August.
