Green River Wyoming Fishing Report:

We’ve been guiding below the Fontenelle Reservoir on the Green River in Wyoming to the Seedskadee boundary for the past few weeks and the fishing has been superb on nymphs and streamers for the most part. On the warmer afternoons the Blue Wings are trying to get going but the air and water temps need to increase a few degrees. The best action has been in the afternoons. The scuds are thick and the fish are keying in on them. The fish are in the deeper runs stacked under the foam lines.

The nymph rig with the most success has been is #12 Prince Nymph for the point fly and the trailing fly is a Allen Bros #16 super scud tied 18″ below the point fly. The leader is a 3x 9 foot floro and the same for the tippet. We’ve been using a BB spilt shot 8″ above the point fly and a indicator at the top of the leader.

Streamer patterns: #4 olive sculpin zilla or a dirty martini using a 250 grain sinking line with some split shot about 12″ above the fly.
