Hello:
Fontenelle Reservoir is currently at elevation 6485.9 ft (58% full) and releases will be 1,700 cfs beginning on May 13, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. The recent storms have increased the Fontenelle runoff forecast approximately 150,000 acre-feet over the April-July period, and another storm system is expected this weekend.
Fontenelle will be operated to accommodate the current increase in precipitation.
Therefore, beginning Monday, May 16, 2016, at 8:00 a.m., releases from Fontenelle shall be increased to 2,000 cfs according to the following schedule:
Date | Time MST | Initial Release (cfs) |
|
| Change (cfs) |
| Final Release (cfs) |
5/16/2016 | 0800 | 1700 | +150 | 1850
5/16/2016 | 1600 | 1850 | +150 | 2000
After the final change at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2016, releases shall remain 2,000 cfs until further notice. All times identified in this directive are local time (Mountain Standard Time) and not hour ending. Releases will likely vary throughout May and June in response to observed hydrology.
